Automation Action – Set Message Store Flag | ThinkAutomation

Automation Action: Set Message Store Flag

Assign a flag to the message stored in the Message Store.

This action supports ThinkAutomation’s broader workflow automation software by allowing processed messages to be automatically flagged according to their status, content or workflow outcome, making them easier to identify, filter and manage within the Message Store.

Automatically Flag and Categorise Processed Messages

ThinkAutomation can assign Message Store flags automatically as part of a workflow, allowing processed messages to be categorised according to business rules or information identified earlier in the automation. The flag number can be set dynamically using a ThinkAutomation variable, so different messages can receive different flags depending on the outcome of the workflow.

When reviewing the Message Store, users can filter messages by their assigned flag, making it easier to locate and review particular groups of processed messages.

Assigns a Flag to the current message.

ThinkAutomation stores a copy of each processed message in the Message Store. You can assign a Flag number to the message stored in the Message Store. When viewing the Message Store you can filter by Flag.

In the Set Incoming Message Flag Number To entry, enter the flag number to assign to the current message. You can use a %variable% replacement to conditionally set a flag value based on previous actions.

You can setup any number of Flag values using the Server Settings – Message Store Flags option.
